<p>The Thai multi-hyphenate talks about his smash hit series <em>The Believers</em>, his love for vintage, and everything in between.</p>

<p><strong>Peach Pachara</strong> is refreshingly easy to talk to. The Thai actor, singer, and philanthropist carries himself with a nonchalant coolness but is also very down-to-earth despite his 2.1 million followers on Instagram, and numerous hit series and films under his belt. That&rsquo;s not to disregard his star power, because as soon as the camera starts snapping away, Peach is in his element and poses with grit and an unbashful realness that summarizes his undeniable charisma.</p>
<p>He brought his own clothes for the shoot and styled himself, too. Going through the pieces, I noticed how well-loved they are. He later tells me that they&rsquo;re mostly vintage or thrifted selections from Thailand and his travels to Japan. [Vintage clothes] are a kind of a story by itself. Once you see the jeans with like a little paint or, you know, it's kind of messed up a bit, it kind of has its own personality and I think that's something you can't get off the rack,&rdquo; he tells me fondly.</p>
<p>In this interview with <em>L&rsquo;Officiel Philippines</em>, Pachara Chirathivat or simply Peach, shares how he started acting, what inspired him to be part of the controversial series The Believers, and what&rsquo;s next for the multi-hyphenate who can&rsquo;t seem to slow down.</p>
<h4>Hi Peach! To start, can you tell us a bit about how you got into acting?</h4>
<p>How did I start my career? I started when I was 17. I got called up for a film and I auditioned. I went there but didn't plan to be an actor. I did it really bad and then they called me, &ldquo;You got the role.&rdquo; And I was like, &ldquo;What? But I'm really bad at it.&rdquo; And they were like, &ldquo;Oh you play as a loser guy. So that's why.&rdquo; I'm like, &ldquo;Okay, fine.&rdquo; That's how I started my career.</p>
<h4>What&rsquo;s the coolest thing about what you do?</h4>
<p>I think I get to work with a lot of people. I get to see like, a new perspective of the world as well every time. Because you get to be a lot of different characters. You get to learn a lot of backgrounds of life.&nbsp; And then you get to collaborate with people. Yeah, I think that's the best thing about my job is to meet new people all the time.</p>
<h4>How do you juggle being an actor, a celebrity, and also a businessman, and CEO as well?</h4>
<p>I do pretty bad actually, so I rely on my colleagues to tell me what to do because I get lost in whatever I'm currently passionate about and I tend to forget things that I need to take care of. Like if I'm into a film, I'll be gone. I'm not picking up phones and they'll be like, &ldquo;Dude, there's this and that that you have to do.&rdquo; I'm like, &ldquo;Okay.&rdquo; you know, so time management and me don&rsquo;t go so well.</p>

<h4>So do you believe in work-life balance, how do you maintain it?</h4>
<p>I think in the end everything just kind of blends into a thing. There's no such thing as separating work and life. If you're passionate about something, then your work becomes your life as well. It kind of becomes your hobby by itself and you don't feel that you need to separate work from life because it just merges into one.</p>
<h4>What attracted you to your project &ldquo;The Believers&rdquo;?</h4>
<p>I love the script. Once I got the script, I read it and I really liked the story of it. It's a very important thing in Thailand as well, you know, the religion thing. Because we never raised question about the shady side of Buddhism in Thailand. So I think with this series, once I read it, it's like, you get to be a part of a kind of movement that you know really kind of provokes society and I think that's in a very very positive way.&nbsp; That&rsquo;s why I'm really committed to the role.</p>
<h4>Why do you think the audience responded so well to it?</h4>
<p>I think the audience resonates with the contents of it because it's based from the fact that we've been seeing [things like this happen] in the news as well. It&rsquo;s a kind of a taboo topic that you're not allowed to speak about&mdash;the shady side of religion. And once you're being able to do that,&nbsp; people just really, you know, get on board with it because they've been having a kind of same question in their head as well. So I think that's why it worked. We want people to see this ugly side of religion. We want people to raise questions and be more scrutinizing. I think that leads to a good impact overall.</p>
<h4>How are you and your character in the show similar? And how are you different from Game?</h4>
<p>I think I'm pretty much like him in the sense that Game the character kind of creates his own expectation of wanting to be success so he kind of pressures himself. I think it's like me. I just kind of always put the expectation on myself that I have to do it right. I have to really make it good. &nbsp;I think that's something that we're pretty similar. I think what is not really similar, is the fact that I think Game is more outgoing kind of person, he's more sociable, he's really good at dealing with people while I'm actually pretty bad at it.</p>
<h4>So what&rsquo;s next for Peach Pachara?</h4>
<p>I'm going to be doing more projects. I have another show currently in production that I have to go back and do some shooting. And I have more brands coming up soon and hopefully they&rsquo;ll be launching here as well. So my year&rsquo;s pretty occupied already.</p>
