SB19 just dropped Simula at Wakas, a seven-track EP that’s “celebration of our journey so far and a declaration of what’s to come.” Released Friday midnight, it’s their first project under 1Z Entertainment—the company they now call their own—and their first group release since PAGTATAG!
Across the record, the band explores themes of growth, loss, legacy, and what it really means to begin again. “We’re the same group as when we started. It’s just that we’ve matured, evolved, and grown into artists who are more confident in our voice and purpose,” they said in a release.
While there are no official features, Simula at Wakas feels like it’s in conversation with many voices from mentors, fans, and even each other.
SB19 has also announced Simula at Wakas: The World Tour, kicking off with back-to-back shows at the Philippine Arena on May 31 and June 1. From there, the group hits the road, bringing Simula at Wakas to fans across the U.S., Canada, Singapore, and the Middle East. Stops in Australia, Japan, and Hong Kong are also in the works, making this their most expansive tour yet.
“We’ve been working on new arrangements for some of our songs, and we’re really excited for fans to hear them,” the group shared. “We’ll be performing tracks from our latest EP, Simula at Wakas, and we can’t wait to share the energy and emotion behind each song.”
