Watching Heart Evangelista as the star in a photoshoot is a masterclass in itself. It&rsquo;s like attending a high-stakes race, where you&rsquo;re a spectator marveling at the driver&rsquo;s grace under pressure as her expert pit crew meticulously prepares her for the finish line, from perfectly placing a stray hair to ensuring the flawless fit of the Louis Vuitton ensemble that she&rsquo;s wearing. Despite the demanding schedule that follows, Heart remains present and engaged, savoring every moment of the process. She lives for these kinds of moments.
Heart hosted a New Year&rsquo;s Eve party for friends from Singapore and Paris, finding immense joy in sharing the unique spirit of the Filipino New Year with them. She welcomed 2025 with a wish of good health for herself, her loved ones, and her friends. When asked about the aspect of her life last year that she wished to avoid repeating this year, she stated that she and her team needed to be &ldquo;extra&rdquo; organized, not that they weren&rsquo;t. &ldquo;Basically, for the longest time, we&rsquo;ve been &lsquo;go, go, go.&rsquo; We just kept accepting jobs, which was such a blessing for all of us. It&rsquo;s hard for me then to turn them down, even if it&rsquo;s like a last-minute kind of blessing. But this year, I really want my team and I to fully organize our time for work, for passion, and time for ourselves and loved ones,&rdquo; clarifies Heart.

However, she wants to make it known that they are far from slowing down. The multi-faceted 39-year-old desires a well-balanced life, a goal she has diligently worked toward and deserves. Last year, she was on fire. Heart ranked as the top APAC celebrity in total Media Impact Value at the Paris Fashion Week. Although the numbers game holds considerable weight at said fashion events, gone are the days that Heart pressures herself to prove herself. &ldquo;I see things so differently; I just appreciate what I have. I&rsquo;m not as hungry as I was before, although I still see myself as a go-getter. But I know my worth,&rdquo; shares Heart. She continues, &ldquo;It was harder before because I had to prove myself to myself and to certain brands that I can be a machine. I can be the business. I feel like I&rsquo;ve done my part. And now, I want to enjoy harvest season.&rdquo;
&ldquo;Sometimes when we focus too much on a problem, you think it&rsquo;s so huge until something bigger happens,&rdquo; Heart shares. Her life has not been a fairytale that we all seem to see. While she has experienced setbacks, these have forged her resilience. While not without scars, she has emerged stronger, wiser, and with a newfound grit to face whatever lies ahead. &ldquo;I went through a rough patch with my marriage and then we got married again. Everything was great then health issues started to also happen. You realize some things you focus on too much but there are greater risks or greater problems that can happen. All of these things, whether that&rsquo;s getting robbed, losing people, or going through a tough time in your marriage, all come in trinkets because it&rsquo;s supposed to develop your immunity toward these problems. Looking back, I have made peace with a lot of things in my life. I have made peace with myself,&rdquo; she says. What makes Heart happy is life&mdash;living, breathing, and doing extremely well where she is now. Fashion is her present, so is showbusiness now her past? &ldquo;I think I&rsquo;ll do a movie. If all the stars will align, I&rsquo;ll do one last movie. But for now, I like to produce.&rdquo;

Enter her reality show Heart World, which premiered in late October of last year. The show chronicles Heart as she navigates her life as a global fashionista, a local celebrity, a leader to her creative team, and a homeowner in Paris. An episode showcased her flat in Paris, her home away from home in Manila or Sorsogon, where she travels to learn new things and experience the world.
&ldquo;I have a childlike faith. I&rsquo;m very giddy. I&rsquo;m very appreciative especially when I experience certain things for the first time. I feel like I&rsquo;m really, truly, authentically being myself... I don&rsquo;t mind reintroducing myself to everyone. They never really got to know me as myself on TV, only through characters,&rdquo; Heart when asked why she thinks people are tuning in to her reality show.

Heart World also features a glimpse of her life as a wife to Senate President Chiz Escudero. She will be married to Chiz for a decade already this year, and while their marriage is far from flawless, they made it to this point in their relationship. Chiz did an &ldquo;immersion&rdquo; on everything Heart does as an in-demand fashion figure before becoming Senate President. He was there for her for multiple fashion weeks, doing everything from taking her photos to offering advice on her social media posts to physically supporting her and even carrying her bags. &ldquo;It was pivotal for us to have that kind of adventure together because I was always kind of present in his world and he wasn&rsquo;t so present in mine. That really mattered to me. I felt safe again. I felt appreciated. He saw my hard work... because he knows now how my business kind of runs. I always come back to him and ask for his advice... I have someone to open up to, someone to run to... it made a difference for our marriage because I feel like I have a partner,&rdquo; Heart shares.

Three years ago, the couple faced a challenging period in their marriage, which they openly discussed in an episode on Heart World. Ultimately, their love proved stronger than any obstacle as they renewed their vows last year. &ldquo;I could say that I truly married the right one because in this world where you can separate so easily, he never gave up on me when I considered myself out of the marriage. He was still holding me from a distance and he waited. He was fully aware that I was young at heart. I was very restless in my youth. Even if I didn&rsquo;t hold his hand, he held mine through my toughest times. And now that we got married again, I feel like this was truly the time that I was really married because I was a child, even at 30. And I&rsquo;m very, very appreciative of the values, the principles that he has, especially as a husband, because he&rsquo;s solid as a rock. I needed that. Because of that, I feel like I&rsquo;m the wife that I should be now because I&rsquo;ve matured, and he allowed me to mature,&rdquo; Heart dotingly shares.
Between takes at the L&rsquo;Officiel shoot, Heart enjoyed moments of affection with fur kids, Panda and Pochi, while sporting the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2025 collection by Nicolas Ghesquière. Heart has enjoyed a longstanding and mutual relationship with the brand. She&rsquo;s particularly crazy with the Takashi Murakami collection and deeply admires Pharrell Williams&rsquo; creative contributions to the house. When asked what kind of collaboration she&rsquo;d do with Louis Vuitton if given the chance, she mentioned that she would feature one of her constant companions. &ldquo;I would put a line full of my dog, Panda, because I feel like she should be immortalized. She represents so much of me; she&rsquo;s my soulmate. She&rsquo;s such a character,&rdquo; says Heart.

With Heart turning 40 this year, it&rsquo;s natural to wonder what she&rsquo;ll be up to next. While jet-setting to fashion events around the world to showcase her distinctive style, she also managed to produce her show. Alongside her role as wife to a busy senator, she dedicated herself to serving as President of the Senate Spouses Foundation Inc., a charitable organization comprised of the spouses and family members of Senate members. The organization has consistently demonstrated its dedication to helping those affected by disasters and those who are in need. This year, Heart is determined to see the implementation of the strategic plans she and the SSFI members developed last year.

Turning 40 doesn&rsquo;t faze her at all, a stark contrast to her mid-20s when she used to feel anxious about each passing birthday. &ldquo;The saying &lsquo;age is just a number&rsquo; means so much more to me now. I&rsquo;ve matured; I feel more beautiful because of my wisdom. I feel like the way a woman carries herself in her forties is so much different. There&rsquo;s so much gravitas and appeal because of the way she walks and talks. It&rsquo;s just different. It&rsquo;s a different aura that you cannot fake with makeup and styling. You can wear a white shirt and jeans and walk into a room, radiating with energy because of what you&rsquo;ve been through in life. I feel like that&rsquo;s sexier than anything else,&rdquo; says Heart. She&rsquo;s appreciative of all she has achieved and eagerly anticipates the future. With her accomplishments as a testament, she believes that everyone has the potential for self-discovery and that the toughest roadblock to growth often comes from within. &ldquo;There&rsquo;s no age. There&rsquo;s no mistake. There&rsquo;s nothing that can stop you from something that is already promised to you. So, take your time,&rdquo; she says.
Through all her life&rsquo;s adventures, her personal evolution, and the invaluable lessons she&rsquo;s learned, one thing will undoubtedly remain constant: she&rsquo;ll forever be maarte. &ldquo;That is a solid characteristic that I am not shy and I am proud of because may narating ang kaartehan ko. You just have to truly be yourself,&rdquo; she shares. As Heart looks back at her iconic character Missy Sandejas in the TV series G-mik! who was known for her kakikayan and&nbsp;kaartehan, she has this to say to her, &ldquo;you pulled through.&rdquo;
