The show honored the maison's founder, Guccio Gucci, and celebrated the 50th anniversary of its legendary Double G emblem.

Gucci&rsquo;s story began in 1921 as a small, family-run leather goods boutique. Its humble origins trace back to founder <a href="https://www.lofficielitalia.com/uomo/guccio-gucci-designer-biografia-storia-marchio-moda" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Guccio Gucci</a>, who, as a young man, worked at London&rsquo;s prestigious Savoy Hotel. Immersed in an atmosphere of refined luxury, he developed a fascination with leather craftsmanship&mdash;an obsession that would lay the foundation for one of the world&rsquo;s most iconic fashion houses.

After the Sabato De Sarno era, Gucci returns to its roots, mining its archives and reinterpreting the signature aesthetics that cemented its status as Italy&rsquo;s most influential maison. The show unfolds against a backdrop drenched in Gucci Green, while a live symphony orchestra, led by Oscar-winning composer Justin Hurwitz (La La Land), sets the tempo with an original score created for the occasion.

Silhouettes weave past and present into a seamless dialogue, spanning from the &rsquo;60s and &rsquo;70s&mdash;when Gucci became synonymous with the Dolce Vita&mdash;to today. Tweed suits and an unapologetic embrace of fur recall the effortless glamour of that era, while ladylike coats with oversized buttons, jewel-toned velvet, and scarves tied loosely around the face lend a theatrical sophistication. A show that pays homage to heritage while keeping an eye on the future.
