In line with L'Officiel's 100th year, our September issue continues the magazine's legacy to feature stories of people who constantly revolutionize the way things are done.&nbsp;

There are two things I realized as I lived through these two years of rapid change. First are the innovative ways people come up with to work around the pandemic, and then amidst the unpredictable circumstances, the inevitable surge of artistry is apparent as creatives and businesses compete with their own selves &mdash; pushing the boundaries in order to thrive during these times.&nbsp;

Our Parisian principals gathered and witnessed an evolution in the collections by rising designers globally, where different identities encompass their homelands. Philippine talent Carl Jan Cruz showcases intimate designs highly inspired by his childhood and his community. Local designer Rod Malanao, known for his distinct body-hugging pieces, considers the practice a study in redefining knitwear in the tropics. Industry leader and former magazine editor, Pauline Juan, talks to us about her role in promoting and pushing for the highest standards of Filipino creative innovations for international exportation. And celebrating its 40th anniversary, Emporio Armani continues to be the authoritative innovator of Italian fashion.

This whole year, we celebrate L&rsquo;Officiel&rsquo;s centennial anniversary. For 100 years, the title has remained who they are and what they stand for &mdash; a global authority in fashion. Utilizing the present technology &mdash; from photography to video, print to social media &mdash; the brand has always reflected the culture of fashion with a dedication to the past and a vision for the future. Relaunching the Philippine edition and reinventing a modern type of magazine, with its quarterly collectible prints and ceaseless online platforms, was a chaotic experience, to say the least. But I am proud of what the team has curated and produced in the past and on the pages to follow, and how the brand has been positioned in a way that differentiates us as a local publication. As September calls for the biggest month in fashion, it&rsquo;s also appropriate that we cover the biggest names. In Hollywood, Jessica Chastain tells us what keeps her striving forward as we honor her decade-old career. In the world of K-drama, A-list actor Lee Jong-Suk prepares for his much-awaited return to cinema and has thoroughly chosen projects that are new to him and to his fans. Under her influence, internet sensation Emma Chamberlain suggests that storytelling and content creation should be authentic and raw. Finally, Liza Soberano, who also celebrated ten years in Philippine show business, gives us insights on her life in entertainment and having her own voice, both honest and fearless. We commend these individuals for their presence and influence not just in fashion but also in the world at large.&nbsp;
