As seen in the campaign images where the models sport statement eye looks and are dressed as over-the-top wrestler caricatures, the collection is called ISSYMANIA—a play on the ‘90s Wrestle Mania craze. “It’s high-performance makeup, so we wanted to do a high-performance [campaign] concept,” Joel Andrade, ISSY’s Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer, tells L’Officiel.
True enough, the gel and liquid liner do stay on no matter what once they’ve set and are surprisingly easy to use as they glide on smoothly. The eye pencils most especially are beginner-friendly and are perfect for tightlining, which is a beauty trend that’s been spotted on the runways of Moschino and Gucci.
The mascara on the other hand is great for those who either want a natural look or more volume. The primer in this dual-ended product is a must to see the full effect of the formula.
