      <p>OMEGA is reveling at an iconic local milestone for the brand: bringing together the Philippines&rsquo; biggest celebrities in one star-studded campaign, all for the launch of the latest Speedmaster Moonwatch Master Chronometer collection. This particular OMEGA timepiece is no stranger to monumental events: it is the same watch worn by NASA&rsquo;s Apollo 11 astronauts during history&rsquo;s first moon landing in 1969, thereby earning the monicker Moonwatch.</p>
      <p>&nbsp;<span style="background-color: transparent; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant-ligatures: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit; font-weight: inherit; letter-spacing: 0px;">This one giant leap for man also propelled the Speedmaster Moonwatch into iconic status, as iterations of the timepiece have constantly been developed since its inception in 1957. For this most recent update, the legendary chronograph has been inspired by its own historical design, and has been upgraded with a Co-Axial Master Chronometer 3861calibre, making it Master Chronometer-certified.</span></p>

<p>For its special local campaign, Omega Philippines featured celebrities who have gained iconic status in their solo and ensemble undertakings as the Philippines&rsquo; brightest stars: Daniel Padilla, Kathryn Bernardo, Liza Soberano, Enrique Gil, Nadine Lustre and James Reid. As a crew of six, these stars sported the Speedmaster Moonwatch Master Chronometer collection, composed of a crew of four timepieces featured in the shoot: the Speedmaster Moonwatch Canopus Gold&trade; on leather strap as worn by Liza, Canopus Gold&trade; on Canopus Gold&trade; as worn by Daniel, Kathryn, and Nadine, Sedna&trade; gold on leather strap as worn by Enrique, and Sedna&trade; gold on Sedna&trade; gold as worn by James.</p>

      <p>Four long years before the campaign commissioned these top-calibre celebs, OMEGA had already been working on a different calibre: the Calibre OMEGA 3861. It matches the dimensions of the previous 1861 Moonwatch, while improving its power reserve, chronometric performance and magnetic resistance. The timepiece is wound by hand, with up to 50 hours power reserve.</p>

      <p>With this, this latest Speedmaster Moonwatch collection has earned its title as <a href="https://www.omegawatches.com/planet-omega/watchmaking/the-master-chronometer-certification/">Master Chronometer</a>, meaning that it has been double certified by METAS and COSC, the Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute. To gain METAS certification, the Speedmaster Moonwatch Master Chronometer collection has to pass eight endurance tests over the course of 10 days: function of movement during magnetic exposure, function of complete watch during magnetic exposure, chronometric performance: magnetized and demagnetized, chronometric day-to-day precision, deviation of chronometric precision in six points, isochronism, power reserve testing, and water resistance.</p>
