I think that the most beautiful thing is to be able to do what you want because of freedom. Otherwise, you&rsquo;d be as good as dead. Freedom of expression hasn&rsquo;t been as strong as those looks presented on the runways that are now translated into our fashion stories. From Gucci&rsquo;s flamboyant pieces in the most mystical fashion to Saint Laurent&rsquo;s dark shades of sophistication, designers continue to maneuver in and out of the restrictive system, pushing boundaries while being consciously aware of the market around them. This Fall/Winter season, we showcase a little bit of shimmer and shine added to the classic glam rock aesthetics in our trend story, Edge of Night. On a separate note, we highlight seven up-and-coming designers from different parts of the globe in the realm of streetwear and how each brand has elevated from simply creating hoodies and sneakers to establishing themselves in the luxury fashion market. Manila-based brand Fortune W.W.D. is a perfect example of functional pieces that center on innovation and high quality.

This issue marks the launch of L&rsquo;Officiel Hommes Philippines as a separate magazine after more than a year of being a special men&rsquo;s section inside our regular L&rsquo;Officiel issues. With this new platform, we want to continue to innovate ourselves and spotlight the overwhelming potential of menswear in the country and a void of creative stories that need to be filled. As we embark on a new journey with this brand, we aim to maintain the essence of what made L&rsquo;Officiel Philippines distinctive through its exclusive stories about the world at large with huge emphasis on fashion and pop culture. The first Hommes issue is dedicated to the young and unafraid.

Gracing our first covers are BamBam and Donny Pangilinan. When I sat down with BamBam for his interview, he shed light on the new type of freedom he gets in a world that he now realizes is really big after going solo and finding his sound and style. The GOT7 member is fascinated by the different opportunities he has earned since joining his new management and constantly aims to reach new heights in his solo career. On the other hand, Donny is set to try things out of his comfort zone. With a huge emphasis on his styling, the young actor's go-to looks have shifted from streetwear to tailored and timeless pieces. Discover more about Donny&mdash;his contentment with what he has right now and what's next for his career.

Elsewhere in the issue, we learn more about the new landscape of an accessible and casual French culinary scene after centuries of being defined as haute cuisine reserved solely for those who can afford its elite pricing. In design, Danish multidisciplinary studio Frama explores timelessness and universality through its strict Scandinavian point of view, focusing on quality materials and organic forms for everyday use. Lastly, the myriad of fashion editorials that our team from Paris, Milan, and Southeast Asian regions have curated will keep you abreast. May the talents found in this issue inspire you to do things as you please.
