Timothée Chalamet Stars in Martin Scorsese’s Bleu de Chanel Campaign
"Find your blue, find yourself."
Last year, Chanel announced Timothée Chalamet as the new face of Bleu de Chanel and had us eagerly waiting for the American-French actor’s collaboration with legendary filmmaker Martin Scorsese. A series of teasers were released to give a glimpse into the making of the campaign film and, naturally, elevated the anticipation with dynamic, emotion-filled behind-the-scenes moments
Finally, the wait is over and the campaign film has arrived.
Having worked with some of the industry’s most esteemed filmmakers, Timothée Chalamet has proved his acting range, from Luca Guadagnino’s Call Me by Your Name to Greta Gerwig’s Lady Bird and Denis Villeneuve’s Dune. In the latest Bleu de Chanel campaign directed by Martin Scorsese, Chalamet plays a deeply candid role written just for him, who allows his authenticity and vulnerability to guide him along the way to meet his inner truth.
“The world has changed. There’s another aspect to celebrity in a way. Which is even more extreme than 10 or 15 years ago,” said Martin Scorsese, who’s also the mastermind behind the first Bleu de Chanel campaign in 2010. His signature tracking shot, along with his mastery of color and light, capture the magnetism of the fragrance and the different personas of a phenomenal star."
