The Filipino designer continues to innovate using unexpected fabrics and textiles perfect for the chic nomad.

There&rsquo;s no denying it, Rosanna Ocampo loves to travel. Having lived in Milan for six years, the Filipina designer gathers inspiration from all over the globe for each collection she beautifully crafts and curates. This summer, she tries to outdo herself yet again with a highly wearable but also distinctly artisanal collection that&rsquo;s meant for the fashionable frequent flyer.
&ldquo;Because the [Rosanna Ocampo] girl can never be still. She can't stay in one place for a long time, so we wanted the collection to exude this perennial vacation vibe,&rdquo; Rosanna tells L&rsquo;Officiel Philippines. Aptly called NOMAD, the Spring/Summer 2024 line works as a capsule wardrobe that&rsquo;s meant to supply one's travel looks from day to night. &ldquo;We all know I love going out. So I want to make sure that I dress the RO girl for all her needs&mdash;whether that&rsquo;s brunch, a night out for drinks, or a destination wedding. I want her to know that I&rsquo;ve got her covered,&rdquo; the designer explains.

The highlight of the collection is the specialized raffia material that you&rsquo;d expect to see in bags and other accessories but was incorporated in sultry summer tops, cut-out midi dresses, and flirty structured skirts. &ldquo;We have never worked with the raffia element,&rdquo; says Rosanna, &ldquo;which I think is something special, and I really wanted to go the extra mile.&rdquo; You might be thinking, &ldquo;How do I wash it?&rdquo; The answer is pretty simple. &ldquo;It&rsquo;s actually a wash-and-wear kind of material. I had to source it internationally to get the quality right.&rdquo; The designer also assures that it&rsquo;s durable and comfy to wear&mdash;perfect for any summer jaunt!

The collection also launched in time for the flagship store opening in Powerplant Mall at Rockwell, Makati. Interiors boast of a glamorous yet retro type boutique swathed with her signature colors of green and gold. &ldquo;I just wanted to make sure that the space is a reflection of our brand &ndash; bold, sexy, fun,&rdquo; the designer quips.
