The renowned Japanese fashion label celebrates its 75th Anniversary with a special &ldquo;Yellow&rdquo; runway show at Milan Fashion Week.

Boasting of the theme &ldquo;Urban Beats&rdquo;, Onitsuka Tiger&rsquo;s Spring/Summer 2025 collection is all about growing up without losing the spirit of youth. As music moves our lives, most especially Gen Z, the Japanese brand&rsquo;s latest foray on the runway services the wardrobes of a dynamic and digitally-driven generation keen on making their mark through unique style narratives. These clothes are made for those wanting to express a sense of fashion that eclipses trends and hyperfocuses on individuality.
The 50-piece collection starts off with a sea of black pieces that evoke a sense of intimacy and softness with lingerie-inspired cuts in lace and silk. But these are juxtaposed against tough masculine tailoring in the form of tuxedo-like suiting and straight boxy trousers. This contrast is all part of Onitsuka&rsquo;s thrust for gender-fluid dressing &mdash; giving way for an androgynous aesthetic that&rsquo;s both timeless and chic.

Of course, there&rsquo;s no way of talking about Onitsuka Tiger without mentioning the footwear. The shoes add a poignant statement to every outfit and reinstate the collection&rsquo;s city-ready theme. From sturdy, chunky-soled dress shoes, faux fur-decked clogs to slightly square-toed pumps and high summer sandals, there&rsquo;s a sense of maturity yet playfulness with every step.
This collection also introduces a collaboration with leading skinwear brand Wolford. Among the pieces from the partnership include skin-to-skin dresses, draped tops, and a wide array of nude stockings that are versatile enough to be worn with any type of shoe.
Since the show marks a monumental anniversary for the brand, celebrities like Onitsuka Tiger Brand Ambassador MOMO from K-Pop group TWICE, Japanese actor Hayato Isomura, Filipino fashion influencer and actress Heart Evangelista, Thai star Baifern, and Korean actor Woo Do Hwan were some of the famous faces who sat front row.
