The 69th Miss Universe contestants are one of the strongest generations in recent years. Before the preliminary round, it was difficult to choose who was able to enter the top and be crowned the overall champion.

In previous years, experts could immediately recognize the group of outstanding beauties right from the first rounds, however, this time it's more difficult when basically all the rounds have taken place.&nbsp;
However, being present and attending the 69th Miss Universe, is already a great achievement, in a time of upheaval during the COVID-19 pandemic. Even Paula Shugart &ndash; the contestant &ndash; also shared: she did not think there would be a date for this contest this year.
Miss Mexico won the crown but notice that this year's jury is eight beautiful women, including two former Miss Universe winners, Brooke Lee (USA 1997) and Zuleyka Rivera (Puerto Rico 2006). Along with them were Carnival Cruise Line President Christine Duffy, Korean-American actress and model Arden Cho, Canadian television personality Keltie Knight, South Asian businessman and Live Tinted CEO Deepica Mutyala, Marketing Director Marketing of Mary Kay Cosmetics Sheryl Adkins-Green, and President of Arena del Rio, Tatyana Orozco of Colombia.
Is it just a coincidence that the board is made up of mostly Asian or Latina women?

Since IMG/WME took over ownership of the competition, there have been two winners from Asia (2015 &amp; 2018, Philippines), two from Africa (2017 &amp; 2019, South Africa) and one from Europe (2016, France). To date, the list does not include Latin American beauties. So, from the very beginning of the competition, many believed that this year, the jury would favor the Latinas in the contest.
Perhaps, the biggest challenge in Miss Universe is how to balance the difference in skin color and culture. The beauty queens must also bring messages that are relevant to the political context in each country and continent. The economic problem for Miss Universe is also quite clear, Asia and Latin America - where beauty queens and beauty pageants become household names - turn out to be its biggest markets. &nbsp;
