Placing high regard for Filipino heritage and materials such as the pi&ntilde;a, yero, and gunita through intricate techniques, The New School features a bright generation of makers and muses to watch out for.&nbsp;

L&rsquo;Officiel aims to be a platform that creates a safe space for difficult conversations, where&nbsp; subjects can talk deeply about who they are and what they stand for. Oliver Sim from The xx opens up about the voices screaming inside him, his queerness, and HIV diagnosis through Hideous Bastard, an album that celebrates his joyous self-examination.

Filipino multimedia artist Leeroy New uses piles of discarded materials and waste to create large-scale installations as an act of sustainability and activism. In the story World Building, the artist showcases his fantastical worlds as an extension of himself and a reflection of his values.&nbsp;

In beauty, we speak with cosmetic entrepreneurs about sustainability in Filipino beauty brands, despite having consumers constantly shifting away from nature-based products and toward processed formulations. I flew to Paris to get my hands on the latest high jewelry collection for our cover shoot with Heart Evangelista.
