The local designer finds inspiration in his childhood and the humble sampaguita flower to celebrate his 15-year journey in fashion.

Romance and femininity have always been synonymous with Jot Losa&rsquo;s aesthetic. The Filipino designer has made a name for himself in the industry as a go-to for whimsical, glamorous, and well-put-together ensembles that evoke a soft and subtle strength. For his 15th-year anniversary, Losa gets nostalgic and draws inspiration from fond childhood memories to create something current but also timeless. &ldquo;One of the most significant challenges this time was ensuring that the designs authentically reflected the essence of my journey while also innovating for the Spring/Summer 2025 season. Striking that balance between honoring the past 15 years and pushing the boundaries of what&rsquo;s next was a delicate and deeply personal process," the designer shares.
Entitled &lsquo;Pangako&rsquo;, the 42-piece collection is Losa&rsquo;s promise to uphold the past while also anticipating the future. &ldquo;This collection is an intimate reflection of my childhood memories spent at my grandmother&rsquo;s home&mdash;I still distinctly remember the fragrance of Sampaguita flowers and the sight of elegant lace curtains and vintage heirlooms,&rdquo; says Losa. &ldquo;Each piece in the collection is an homage to that space-turned-memory&mdash;an ode to the floral patterns hand-stitched by my grandmother and to the timeless beauty that exists in things passed down through generations.&rdquo;

There are pieces that use delicate sampaguita-shaped appliqu&eacute;, while sleuths of foamy green punctuate some of the looks. Then there&rsquo;s also a play on sheer and soft fabrics juxtaposed against more structured textiles. But neutrals reign supreme in the collection that finds the glamour in even the most simple and relaxed silhouettes. This is the designer&rsquo;s specialty&mdash;somehow being able to merge comfort with party-ready pieces that will make heads turn. Losa knows his clientele well, and we&rsquo;re sure the collection will be all the rave amongst his circle. But we dare say, there&rsquo;s also a lot to love even when you&rsquo;re not part of the Jot Losa clique.

Moving forward, that&rsquo;s exactly what the designer hopes to achieve: to attract a new and global audience that will wear his work for the next 15 years and more. "The goal is to bring the spirit and craftsmanship of the brand to a wider audience while showcasing Filipino creativity on a global stage," he declares.
