Gucci’s Beloved Collection Boasts Fresh Touches on Archival Shapes
The line, designed by Alessandro Michele, is a modern take on classic house motifs.
The concept behind the Gucci Beloved lines begins with the idea of a personal favorite accessory: to its owner, it is timeless and an object of ceaseless admiration. A reference to both the Italian house's storied past and its colorful present, each piece is designed by Alessandro Michele with a contemporary approach to archival elements, bearing motifs and styles that are inherently and distinctly Gucci.
The four Gucci Beloved bag families — namely Dionysus, GG Marmont, Jackie 1961, and the Gucci Horsebit 1955 — come refreshed in an array of color combinations, from jewel-tone trios like sapphire, ruby, and emerald to tasteful autumnal browns and deep reds. Fresh touches include a white enameled buckle, introduced for the first time on the Dionysus, and a selection of vibrant crocodile, python, and ostrich leathers.
The Horsebit 1955 in an elegant neutral colorblock of ivory, tan, and black is versatile enough to be paired with Gucci’s signature monogram or the house’s vibrant array of 70s-flavored prints.
On a brighter note, burgundy is also a Beloved star, gracing the Marmont alongside buttery beige and nautical-inspired navy.
The Dionysus silhouette comes lined with cotton candy pink, a pleasing contrast punctuated by an enamel clasp.
