      <p><span>The <em>2021 Main Line 1 </em>release focuses on </span><span>foundational pieces and techniques like patchwork construction, unfinished paneling, raw hemlines to visible chain stitching. <em>L'Officiel Philippines</em> spoke to Aren Pe and Pau Martinez of Fortune W.W.D. to discuss the inspiration and challenges for the collection.&nbsp;</span></p>

<p>Head designer Pau Martinez shares, "The Main Line 1 has no core concepts...This collection is special to me because I was able to put out some design garments that I'm really into. From my love for hip-hop, urban culture, traditional Japanese designs, and some pieces that I tried to work on and perfect back when I was in fashion school. I applied some [design and technique] here."&nbsp; Fortune's silhouettes and the intricate bar detailing (seen on the multi seam khaki) are inspired by early 2000s khaki suits and Snoop Dogg's <em>The Last Meal</em> album cover.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="p2"><span class="Apple-tab-span"></span>"We were honestly making the collection on and off for the past year because the pandemic hit us pretty hard," 1/3 of the Fortune Team, co-founder Aren Pe shares. He added " We had to set up our own factory and this is the first collection we made where we could fully experiment and push ideas we always wanted to try. It was just challenging because we used a lot of deadstock fabric but the limitation pushed us to showcase what we can do with clothing."&nbsp;</p>

      <p><span>Some of the highlights in the collection include the</span><span>&nbsp;</span><span>Multi-Seam Khaki Suit </span><span>which explores paneling and hemlock stitching as a key aspect of the design</span><span>. The </span><span>Wabash Series </span><span>which consists of the </span><span>W.W.D. </span><span>Sailor S/S Overshirt</span><span>,</span><span>&nbsp;</span><span>Wabash Selvedge Shawl Collar Jacket</span><span>, and </span><span>Wabash Selvedge Carpenter Pants</span><span>&nbsp;merge classic military and utilitarian designs for a modern and abstract mindset</span><span>. Made with fabrics from Japan Blue&rsquo;s Textile division. COLLECT, most of the pieces were created with the idea of acquiring more personality and </span><span>individuality over time with wear. Also notable in this collection is the head pouch, a reversible headgear that includes drawstrings and snaps that can be transformed into a bag.&nbsp;</span></p>
