During the recent Tommy Hilfiger Spring/Summer 2025 show at NYFW, we caught up with the&nbsp;designer and BLACKPINK's JISOO for an exclusive interview.

Taking over a decommissioned Staten Island Ferry on Pier 17, the Tommy Hilfiger Spring/Summer 2025 show was the talk of the town during New York Fashion Week.
To top that off, Tommy Hilfiger also hosted a spectacular cast of international stars including&nbsp;JISOO, the celebrated solo artist and member of BLACKPINK, who has caused quite a stir in&nbsp;downtown New York with her appearance.
And post-show, we are fortunate enough to be rewarded with an exclusive opportunity to&nbsp;interview JISOO and Tommy Hilfiger to talk about their first encounter, the Spring/Summer 2025&nbsp;show and what New York means to them.

You&rsquo;ve been to New York on multiple occasions. What do you love most about this city?
I like this unique atmosphere that only New York has. The modern vibes of the city surrounded by buildings combined with the harmony of nature make me feel like I&rsquo;m in a movie.
⁠Can you tell us a little bit about the look that you wore to the show?
I paired a vintage, classic varsity jacket with a skirt and long boots. And I have the beanie, which adds a cute touch to the look! I tried to capture Tommy&rsquo;s effortless yet impactful style, rather than going for a flashy look. I think Tommy&rsquo;s biggest strength is being able to create an elevated, timeless look without losing the brand&rsquo;s signature style.
In what way does Tommy Hilfiger (the brand) resonate with who you are and your style?
I like to wear casual looks in general, and Tommy&rsquo;s design aesthetic suits me well. Also, there&nbsp;are various statement items like hats and shoes, which help to style my daily looks with a bit of flair.
Can you share any sneak peek of your upcoming projects or updates for your fans, Blinks?
I always think about Blinks and how I can spend more time with them in person! I was very happy when I had a chance to meet them at Blackpink&rsquo;s 8th-anniversary event. I really appreciate their patience, and I&rsquo;m planning lots of things to pay this love back to Blinks. So, please look forward to it!

What was your first impression of JISOO when you first met her?
Meeting Jisoo for the first time was such a pleasure. Right from the start, I could sense her confidence, creativity, and authenticity. She has a natural sense of style that perfectly aligns&nbsp;with our brand&rsquo;s vision &mdash; classic, yet bold and innovative.
Why did you choose to work with JISOO for your brand?
We have a deep legacy of collaborating with icons that are shaping contemporary culture, and as part of the K-Pop movement, Jisoo is redefining style and setting trends worldwide. She possesses an optimistic outlook that has connected her to international audiences through both her music and style. Her fierce, determined spirit continues to be an inspiration. Plus, I love the K-pop culture, and I think Blackpink&rsquo;s messaging about self-love and individuality seamlessly aligns with our brand identity.
Can you tell us what was your inspiration behind the Spring/Summer 2025 collection?
The Spring 2025 collection is a celebration of my love for the nautical lifestyle, energized with&nbsp;bold maritime codes in our signature red, white and blue. We&rsquo;re revisiting the nautical and&nbsp;maritime inspirations that have defined our signature look since I founded the brand in 1985 &ndash;&nbsp;but updating and remixing it for 2025. It has the ease of effortless summer style, but with a look that feels ready to step off the ferry and back into the city.
What is the one thing that represents New York and Tommy Hilfiger?
Optimism is at the heart of both New York and the Tommy Hilfiger brand. The city&rsquo;s energy and vibrance embody the spirit of the American dream, shaping much of what I love about fashion. Since launching my brand here almost 40 years ago, New York&rsquo;s determination and confidence have become core values for us. In this city, possibilities are endless, and that sense of limitless creativity and expression constantly inspires me&mdash;anything feels possible.
