Philippines&rsquo; very own Janine Gutierrez finally made her attendance debut at the 81st Venice Film Festival for the world premiere of the Lav Diaz drama &ldquo;Phantosmia&rdquo; which she stars in alongside fellow actors Ronnie Lazaro, Paul Jake Paule, and Hazel Orencio. 
The Filipina actress didn&rsquo;t fail to express her delight as it was her first time at the prestigious festival, where actors and filmmakers from all over the world have all come together to celebrate the art of cinema. In an exclusive interview with L&rsquo;Officiel Philippines, Janine shared the excitement she felt stepping into the festival. She shares, &ldquo;It's so great to be here! I feel like I'm right in the heart of the cinema world with global films premiering and having our Filipino film as part of the offerings. It's amazing and has been a goal of mine. I'm so happy and grateful and even more inspired to work hard.&rdquo;

In true Filipino fashion, the actress graced the momentous event with head-turning custom looks created by Inno Sotto and Vania Romoff&ndash;two homegrown talents who champion Filipino culture through their beautiful creations. And in a world stage meant to celebrate art, she saw this as the perfect chance to spotlight our very own craft. For Janine, Filipino talent must always be at the forefront.&nbsp;

&ldquo;I saw this as an introduction to the global stage of cinema, it being my first major film festival. With so many people I look up to attending the same event, all these A-list stars from Hollywood and Europe, I definitely wanted to wear Filipino designers and showcase our fashion.&rdquo;

When asked what her vision was for her Venice Film Festival looks, Janine shares, &ldquo;My stylist, MJ Benitez and I focused on timeless silhouettes and really also listened to the expertise of the designers we were so lucky to work with, Inno Sotto and Vania Romoff.&rdquo;&nbsp;

Her first look created by Inno Sotto is a beautiful two-piece dress consisting of a sheer figure-hugging bodice and a maxi column skirt all in timeless black. Sparkling embellishments are stitched on the waist area for a subtle yet eye-catching addition to the gown&rsquo;s timeless monochrome palette.&nbsp;

Janine then graced the festival&rsquo;s red carpet donning a gorgeous Vania Romoff gown that displays a distinct pillowy silhouette in a soft powder blue hue. Channelling a dreamy royal look, the gown also features an elegant scoop neckline and a v-shaped drop waist detail that are undeniably Romoff signatures. The actress&rsquo; red carpet ensemble is finished with a vintage statement necklace from JMA Jewelry, hair by&nbsp;Jay Aquino&nbsp;and makeup by Anthea Bueno.
