French ready-to-wear brand A.P.C. presents its new collaboration with Sacai, the famously experimental Japanese label founded in 1999 by Chitose Abe. The unisex collection comes emblazoned with a fun blend of the two brands&rsquo; logos: SA.P.C.AI.

Tuning into that same collaborative note, the tie-up (or Interaction, as it&rsquo;s officially dubbed) focuses on uniting each house&rsquo;s signatures&mdash;here, A.P.C.&rsquo;s wearable denim meets the complexity of Sacai&rsquo;s deconstructed jersey and nylon.
&ldquo;This Interaction is a precise illustration of how A.P.C. and Sacai came together, interweaving diverse elements of language to achieve a sort of crossbreed that represents the style of our two brands,&rdquo; Jean Touitou, A.P.C.&rsquo;s founder, explains. &ldquo;These pieces are unusual for us, as they push the limits of what we might call &lsquo;wearability&rsquo; as far as possible. They are the fruit of a long process of creative deconstruction and reconstruction. We got enormous pleasure from seeing [clothing] being taken apart and redesigned.&rdquo;

Touitou continues, &ldquo;And to quote Maurice Blanchot, referring to the novel Destroy, She Said by Marguerite Duras: &lsquo;Destroy. How this rings: softly, tenderly, absolutely.&rsquo; This is exactly what we felt when we achieved this work.&rdquo;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
