Photographer Andrei Suleik and filmmaker MV Isip capture an intimate glimpse of our cover star&mdash;all chronicled through a smartphone.

For every photographer and filmmaker, the tools they use are equally important to the creative vision they bring to a shoot. These tools enable them to execute their ideas and even allow them to think out of the box&mdash;whether through an upgrade, a new feature, or an entirely alternative piece of equipment.
For Nadine Lustre&rsquo;s L&rsquo;Officiel Philippines cover, we asked one of her closest collaborators, photographer Andrei Suleik, to create an accompanying visual story as the cover shoot unfolded. With it comes L&rsquo;Officiel Philippines&rsquo; first behind-the-scenes video, directed by filmmaker MV Isip. In creating their work, they came not with their usual gear&mdash;here, they used one of OPPO&rsquo;s newest smartphones, the Reno5 4G and the Reno5 5G.
Touting a 64-megapixel main camera, the Reno5 challenges even some professional cameras in the market. That&rsquo;s not all: rounding out the Reno5&rsquo;s arsenal is an eight-megapixel ultrawide camera, a macro camera, a mono camera, a 44-megapixel selfie camera for the Reno5 4G and 32-megapixel selfie camera for the Reno5 5G. All these, coupled with powerful features that make use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), allow and empower any photographer and videographer to create stunning visuals in new ways, all in a nifty gadget one can carry anywhere.
Here, we sit down with Andrei and MV and discover the innovative ways they captured Nadine Lustre using the OPPO Reno5.
Expanding Horizons
&ldquo;My first conversation with Nadine was about cameras and photos,&rdquo; says Andrei. Since then, the pair simply clicked &mdash; pun intended &mdash; with Andrei constantly capturing Nadine, a unique muse with a strong sense of vision. &ldquo;She&rsquo;s like her own creative director,&rdquo; he adds.
&ldquo;[At the shoot], I remembered that Nadine also likes landscape photos, especially when she travels,&rdquo; Andrei recalls. &ldquo;Here, I took the opportunity to put her in the middle using the Reno 5&rsquo;s wide angle camera,&rdquo; he says, capturing Nadine together with the lush environment.

<h3 style="text-align: center;">Constant Vibrance</h3>
Even when they&rsquo;re taking a breather, Nadine and Andrei remain highly creative. &ldquo;She picked a flower and simply approached me,&rdquo; says Andrei, reacting simply by capturing the moment. The Reno5&rsquo;s AI Scene Enhancement feature is able to recognize whatever scene you&rsquo;re shooting, and makes the colors pop in just the right way&mdash;whether you&rsquo;re on or off the set.

<h3 style="text-align: center;">A Natural Touch</h3>
&ldquo;Nadine is always in her element in the water,&rdquo; says Andrei. &ldquo;I think this was candid&mdash;Nadine simply posed like how she felt being in the middle of the water.&rdquo; Instantly, Andrei knew he had to snap a photo.&nbsp;
Part of the challenge of shooting on location is adapting to the lighting conditions, but it was a breeze for Andrei and MV with the Reno5. Using the AI Beautification feature, which analyzes the lighting conditions and adjusts the camera accordingly, Andrei was able to capture this moment with no hesitation. &ldquo;It was all very automatic,&rdquo; Andrei says of the process.
In the fashion film, MV was likewise able to shoot seamlessly: &ldquo;The morning sun can easily make the shot overexposed, so I used the Reno5&rsquo;s AI Highlight Video feature to balance out the exposure,&rdquo; she says.

<h3 style="text-align: center;">It Takes Two&nbsp;</h3>
Sometimes, what happens behind the scenes offers an equally interesting story as the published image. "The purpose of the video is to capture the entire process of creating a magazine cover, from the amount of people (and pets!) involved to the funny little moments in between layouts," explains MV. "With the Dual-view Video feature, I was able to show how it's a whole adventure behind-the-scenes as much as in front of it." 
In the featured clip, photographer Regine David is captured giving directions, while at the exact same frame, Nadine is also captured posing. These two events were happening at the exact same time.

<h3 style="text-align: center;">Seeing Double</h3>
&ldquo;Nadine in front of the camera is very different from Nadine behind the camera,&rdquo; Andrei shares. For this shoot, Andrei sought to capture these two sides, using the Reno5&rsquo;s AI Mixed Portrait feature. It allows you to blend yourself with a background video to create clips with a striking, artistic vibe.
MV, on the other hand, utilized the Reno5&rsquo;s Dual-view video feature. &ldquo;It was a really freeing experience to use the OPPO Reno5 to capture BTS, especially out on location,&rdquo; she says.
&ldquo;These features make you more creative,&rdquo; Andrei adds. &ldquo;It&rsquo;s nice to play around with it&mdash;your images become more dramatic and fun, and you can explore photography using the OPPO Reno5.&rdquo;
