For the holiday season, the EXO star talks about his pursuit of happiness.

Has fame changed Kai, the superstar main dancer of larger-than-life K-pop group EXO? "Oh, of course, it has," the 28-year-old amiably tells L'Officiel Philippines. "In a way, it has made me a better person. Fame and one&rsquo;s personality are different things, so I know a 'good person' is different from a 'cool person' that people admire. Fame has made me look back on myself, so it makes me work harder to not be too carried away by it."

It's an anchoring mindset. In the face of all that he has achieved, Kai is unfazed &mdash; jovial even. In L'Officiel Philippines' December 2022 issue, he tells stories not just of his life's glitz and glamour, but of his simplest joys, too. When asked what makes him happy, Kai's laughing answer is refreshingly straightforward: "Shoots like today, getting enough sleep, and eating tasty food from time to time make me happy. Going to Han River and listening to music or even just playing with Legos. Those things make me happy. Many things make me happy so it&rsquo;s hard to name just one. I worked hard to be able to feel happiness and gratitude even about the little things."
