With the Olympic Games just around the corner, it's only natural to cheer for the competitors representing our country. From seasoned pros to rising stars, we're excited to cheer on some amazing Filipina athletes who are ready to show the world what they've got. Here's a look at all the women representing the Philippines in Paris; bringing home honor, glory, and pride for the country with their passion, talent, and determination on the Olympic stage.

Aleah Finnegan (Artistic Gymnastics)

Filipino-American gymnast Aleah Finnegan thought that her career as an athlete was over until she received a call from the Gymnastics Association of the Philippines. Fast forward to now, Finnegan has already made history even before the Olympic Games have begun by becoming the first Filipina gymnast to compete at the event since 1964.

Aira Villegas (Boxing)

After securing her place with a 5-0 win in Italy last March of this year, Aira Villegas will be competing in the women&rsquo;s flyweight 50kg division in hopes of bagging the Philippines' first Olympic gold medal for boxing.

Nesthy Petecio (Boxing)

After bagging a silver at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, Nesthy Petecio is en route once again to the Olympic stage in hopes to secure more medals for the Philippines. She will be competing in the women's featherweight 57kg division.

Elreen Ann Ando (Weightlifting)

Elreen Ann Ando bested several weightlifters at the Paris 2024 Olympics qualifier event, securing a ticket to the Games once again. Among them was first ever Filipino Olympian gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz, who gracefully accepted defeat and cheered Ando on. Now as a two-time Olympian, Ando is set to compete in the 59kg weight division.

Vanessa Sarno (Weightlifting)

The future is certainly bright for 20-year-old weightlifter Vanessa Sarno who secured her Olympic berth after a flawless finish at the qualifiers in Thailand where she placed fifth in the 71kg weight division. On top of that, she also beat her own national record which she set last year.

Levi Jung-Ruivivar (Artistic Gymnastics)

Just days before turning 18-years-old, Filipino-American gymnast Levi Jung-Ruivivar secured her spot for this year's Olympic Games after bagging silver at the 2024 FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Cup in Doha, Qatar. She is the youngest Filipino Olympian to date.

Joanie Delgaco (Rowing)

Joanie Delgaco qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympics after placing fourth in the World Rowing Asian and Oceanian Olympic Qualification Regatta in Korea. Her win marks history as it has led Delgaco into becoming the first Filipina rowing Olympian.

Samantha Catantan (Fencing)

After winning a suspense-filled 15-14 duel at the women's foil final of the Asia-Oceania Zonal Olympic Qualifier, Samantha Catantan successfully booked her ticket to the Games and ended a 32-year Olympic drought for Filipino fencers.

Emma Malabuyo (Artistic Gymnastics)

After falling short off an Olympic spot during the Doha leg of the World Cup, Filipina gymnast Emma Malabuyo was finally able to bag a spot for the Games after placing third during the Asian Championships. Her bronze finish led her to become the highest placing athlete eligible for a quota slot.

Hergie Bacyadan (Boxing)

Though born female and identifies as a man, Filipino boxer Hergie Bacyadan joined the Philippine Olympic Team and will be competing at the Games under the womens 75kg division &mdash; the heaviest weight class in Olympic women's boxing.

Dottie Ardina (Golf)

After backing out of the Rio 2016 Olympics due to the Zika virus, Dottie Ardina is finally en route to the stage once again for her Olympic debut. Among the 60 qualifiers for the Games, Ardina placed 55th.

Bianca Pagdanganan (Golf)

Placing 36th out of the 60 women qualifiers for the Olympics, Filipina golfer Bianca Pagdanganan represents the Philippines for the second time.

Kiyomi Watanabe (Judo)

Filipina-Japanese judoka Kiyomi Watanabe earned herself a return trip to the Olympics after ranking 92nd in the world in the women's -63kg category. She was able to secure one out of the two continental quotas reserved for Asia.

Lauren Hoffman (Athletics)

In order to qualify for the Olympics, Filipino-American hurdler Lauren Hoffman had to either hit the Olympic standard time of 54.85 seconds or finish within the top 40 world rankings. Determined to not let any hurdles get in her way (pun intended), she managed to rank 39th, earning her a well-deserved spot to compete in Paris 2024.

Kayla Sanchez (Swimming)

After bagging silver and bronze Olympic medals for Canada during the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, Filipina swimmer Kayla Sanchez has since switched federations and will now represent the Philippines for Paris 2024.&nbsp;
