Intuitive, creative, and free-spirited, today’s most versatile Korean artist JISOO of BLACKPINK joins the Panthère community as the newest Cartier ambassador.

Since the artist’s debut as a member of the Korean girl group in 2016, Kim Jisoo has ventured into the fields of hosting and acting, landing the lead role of Eun Yeong-ro in Disney+ and JTBC’s Snowdrop in 2021. Along with her bandmates Jennie, Lisa, and Rosé, BLACKPINK has solidified Korean pop as a force to be reckoned with on the global stage, as proven by their back-to-back chart-toppers "Lovesick Girls,” “DDU-DU DDU-DU,” and “How You Like That.” The girl group has also become highly sought-after in the Western music industry with collaborations with artists Dua Lipa, Selena Gomez, and Lady Gaga.

The girls’ impact, however, transcends the music scene. With Jennie serving as an official ambassador for Chanel, Rosé for Saint Laurent, Lisa for Celine, and Jisoo for Dior, and now, Cartier, the BLACKPINK members have been endowed with the epithet of global style icons. Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Arnaud Carrez said that Cartier was instinctively drawn to Jisoo who embodies the magnetic aura and allure of the panther. “With her self-assured style, she is the voice of a new generation of creatives who dare to show their different talents. She is an artist who takes on her role with great creative freedom, never limiting herself.”

As the emblem of the Maison, the Panthère has become timeless regalia since her first sighting in 1914. For its freedom and dominance, the feline motif continues to reign over Cartier’s creativity a century after its inception. Akin to the Panthère, Jisoo exudes power, defiance, and freedom. Her strong yet jovial personality—coupled with an innate, independent spirit—has drawn millions around the world to the Korean artist. Charged with a magnetic character, Jisoo’s status as a model and endorser has been in demand even prior to her launching as a musician of YG entertainment, having appeared in advertisements for various name brands in South Korea. With inherent elegance, command, and allure, Jisoo is the paragon of the Panthère woman.

“I’m so glad to be a part of Cartier’s grand journey. It’s truly an honor and pleasure for me to join the Panthère tribe, where everyone proves their strength of character. I can’t wait to share Panthère’s great beauty with everyone.” said the actress-singer.

Jisoo is the newest addition to the Panthère de Cartier tribe that features fellow actors Annabelle Wallis, Ella Balinska, Chang Chen, Mariacarla Boscono, and Yasmine Sabri. Brought together by a shared spirit, these strong personalities take on the most mysterious animal in the Cartier menagerie, the ultimate embodiment of fascination.
