Heroine Make's mascaras, "Volume Up," and "Long and Curl"&mdash;both "super waterproof"&mdash;are simply and aptly named. Never has a mascara been so true to its claims and even gone beyond expectations with longevity and hold. This mascara launched in the Philippines several years ago, and in our climate quickly became a cult-status product, with many mascara users attesting to how strong it keeps the lift/curl without smudging, flaking, or melting off. Unfortunately, it was discontinued in the country but now, Heroine Make is back and finally easily available for us heavy-duty mascara lovers. Here's what we're loving from the Japanese brand.

Volume Up is the curling, volumizing, and lifting variant of the long-wearing mascaras. When they say "super waterproof" it is 100% true, and it also resists sweat pretty well. Great for long days, swimming, working out, anything that needs heavy duty eye makeup as this makes sure your lashes are lifted all day.

It comes in a smaller mascara-type tube with a plastic comb applicator. It's oil-based and doesn't sting the eyes&mdash;swipe it on under and over the lashes, leave it in for a minute or two, and wipe off or wash away with your makeup remover.&nbsp;

On the flipside, if you either have really straight lashes that uncurl easily, or you need something that'll go above and beyond regular waterproof and longwear, Heroine Make also has created a primer for your lashes. It's a fibrous formula that's blue in the applicator but looks natural on the lashes. Just with the primer, you'll see how lifted and volumized your lashes look. Upon application, wait a minute for it to set and then proceed to apply your mascara.
