L&rsquo;Officiel asks photographers Aya Cabauatan and Shaira Luna to show us their perspectives about their craft that mirror each others&rsquo; energy.

Both self-professed introverts with a love for creating a warm, dreamy ambiance in their work, Aya and Shaira both use the art of observation in their craft in this March&rsquo;s women&rsquo;s month feature.

"For me, I think the most important part of my creative process is just to keep moving and to really just keep on creating. It doesn't matter if you have a vision or not, or if you have a purpose. I think the important thing is to just keep making things."

&ldquo;Shaira was one of my idols and inspiration. No, I really mean it.&nbsp;And I think seeing her work, even from the online platforms, allowed me to see the world differently in a male-dominated industry.&rdquo;

<h3 style="text-align: center;">On what the female gaze is to them</h3>

&ldquo;I was kind of a shy girl and I didn't really interact with a lot of people&hellip;it's really how I study people and how I observe them and how I try to be respectful of who they are, who they want to portray on that day. So I don't really try to define it. I think I just like to be a girl and shoot like a girl.&rdquo;

&ldquo;I think it's about the careful nuances that make us appreciate the details. Although it may be mundane, but for us, it's a way of observing. It's bringing light into that aspect of beauty that most people don't normally see.&rdquo;

<h3 style="text-align: center;">Anything you want to say to young photographers out there?&nbsp;</h3>

&ldquo;I think the only thing I can say is really just aligned with what Shaira mentioned earlier, to continue to create.&rdquo;

&ldquo;I guess if you want to be a photographer and kind of live the dream like we're living now, just have to put in the work. It's a lot, a lot, a lot of work. But it's very fulfilling and really inspiring to see others blossom in this field as well. And we're here for you.&rdquo;
